On-line Birthday Bash

Hello
I started the week with a couple of blowdrys
But the next lady cancelled because she'd hurt her foot
So I had a go on the Markets and lost
And gave up forever...
Tuesday was mad busy all day
until 9 o'clock at night
Regular clients in Soho, Maida Vale and St John's Wood
Then a family group in the afternoon-evening
with dinner to follow
Very nice...
Got home so late though
Next day Wednesday my morning lady cancelled
because of a bad cold
Never mind I said
Because today is my birthday
I decided to tell my pals at Midsummer's Eve
And started an On-line Birthday Bash
How cool is that?
Take a look at it here
I'm 50 now!
On Thursday I did my regular lady at Willesden Green
Then visited Hampstead to do an Old Boy cut and shave
Did his nails for him too
They were so long to be dangerous
On Friday I did my regular shampoo and set ladies
And finished early...
Looked at the Market again and predicted a drop
It happened...
I made so much money I was scared to death
I'm expecting a fall on Monday too
So beware if you are holding shares
On Saturday I was free so I built a Testimonial Page for my website
I love it so much...
Have a look at it here
I improved my Introduction Page as well
See it here
On Sunday I planned to cut my hair
But just ended up washing it
It's getting so long now
I have to flatten it
Going to end the week with a movie
:)

Current financial crisis is nothing new

Hello
A kind of average week...
It started with a disappointment
My first client wasn't well and had to go to hospital
I wasn't told so I had to continue to my next client at St John's Wood
I got there too early for her to be ready for me
I had the afternoon free and went on-line
I managed to find the text of a book written by Kondratieff
A Russian economist who explained the current financial crisis
over a hundred years ago!
Next day I visited a family in Golders Green
At the bus stop where I was waiting she appeared
The Battleaxe of the area
A short older woman who dominated the crowd
She told a man off for smoking at the Stop
And when he answered back she told him to bugger off
And when he coughed she told him to die
Everyone was amazed...
She then proceeded to tell off the bus driver for being an hour late
Nobody punched her on the nose because she is old
She knows that when you are old you can say what you like and get away with it
During hairstyling we agreed that Shakespeare is boring!
I collected a mystery parcel from the Mail Centre
which turned out to be a box of chocolates for my coming birthday
Next day at St John's Wood again
My lady booked in for a perm didn't need a perm
So I told her to wait until her next haircut for it
On Thursday the ill lady had returned from hospital
And had her hair blow-dried
Then off to Maida Vale for a couple of shampoo & sets
Their TV was not working
I fixed it...
I'm clever like that
I was a bit scruffy on Friday
So I did my morning clients
Went home... had a shave
Received another parcel and went out again
to the Hampstead hairdressing tea party
And then right out to Brentford
which is a dreadful journey to make
I got home so late...
And outside the supermarket the handle of my case snapped off
I had to go out and buy a new case on Saturday
Added a new hard drive to my computer
And Sunday was a day off...
I'd planned to cut my hair but I didn't have the pluck to do it
So I did some grooming and watched a movie
Week over...
:)

Hairdressing and the Stock Market

Hello
This week passed very quickly
Whoosh!
Here's what happened...
The first client of the week had a visitor
Her grand-daughter arrived and spoke to me
about her passion to help others
Which was very exciting and new
And she's pretty!
Then across to Hampstead to enjoy
the hairdressing tea party
We had walnut cake this week
Yummy!
Then I shot off to Watford
to do a fella's haircut
Everyone lives in houses out there
Not flats...
Next day I went to Soho to do a blowdry
for a regular client
Another lovely girl to chat to there
And more tea too
I got home a bit early and took a look
at the American Stock Market and predicted a drop
It happened...
I worked in St John's Wood and Swiss Cottage
the next two days
On Thursday I got home early
and watched the Markets and decided to trade
I made almost a £1000 by the evening
I was thrilled and scared
Friday was the busiest day this week
Sets cut and a tint to do
It was hard work and tiring
I traded and won on the Markets
in the evening
Then lost it all back and more on one trade
I hate that...
But it's my fault of course
Not having a proper plan in place
On Saturday I did a lovely couple's hairdos
for the second time which is nice...
At home I figured out where I went wrong
with my trading and I've made a new policy now
I finally relaxed on Sunday
And I feel fine
:)

A stressful week of challenge

Hello
There has been so much to do
I'm going to have to tell you about the whole week
In one go...
On Monday I did two regulars in the morning
Then off to Canary Wharf to meet a new client
What a place it is...
Such wonderful buildings
I took a short-cut through one of the shops
So many people queueing up to buy their lunch
Loads of people serving them
Affluence indeed...
The new client lived in a sheltered housing block
Which is right next to the river
I could see sailing boats just outside her windows
A very nice view to have
She told me she liked handsome men
When she was young
And a drink too!
She liked her hairdo and me
I walked through a lovely park of fountains
On the way back to the Tube
I added two new pictures to the gallery
Have a look
I started to work on my new introduction web page
But it was difficult...
On Tuesday one of my clients told me she was blown up in the war
She had her face rebuilt...
She survived
She's 96 now and never stops talking
:)
Worked on the new web page again
And this time it all went well
It's up and running now
Take a look
It's getting harder to advertise with words now online
So I created three new image ads
And they are being viewed
On Wednesday I met a very friendly Carer
For the first time at a client's place
I think we like each other
Ooh-err
;)
Friday was a day of big jobs
A tint and a perm to do extra
So the takings were good
I made three more image ads again
And I am back in view...
The weekend was spent recovering and grooming myself
An intense week of struggle really
But all is well at the end of it
Goodnight

Renewal of Vows

Hello
I worked at another Wedding today
Except this time it was a Renewal of Vows
Which is a very nice idea
So much in love...
They got married again
At the Presidential Suite of a 4 Star hotel in Maida Vale
Wow!
A lovely family...
It can happen for some
The Bride had a very nice updo
Mum had a fancy do too
And the grown-up children did each other's hair
They had 10 rooms between them all
The same Registrar married them again
Everyone looked very glamorous for the Re-match
They all enjoyed themselves.
That was my work for the day
And the end of the current run of weddings
So back to routine hairdressing now
Until more orders come in
Could be a day off tomorrow
I'm waiting to hear from a new client
My new introduction web page is up
But the text has been altered
And I can't correct it yet
That will be a job to do next week
I've got loads of new pictures for the gallery now
To add when I get the inspiration
Goodnight
Bryn

A full day's work

Hello
Today was such a full wonderful day
I'm writing about it tomorrow
Now...
I managed to wake up on time
4.30am!
It's cruelty to humans that
I arrived at the Bride's flat at 7am
And the Groom was there
It's unusual but he was very useful
When the Bride and Mum were under the dryer
He made tea and toast
And when the Bride cried
He was there to comfort her
Aaahh...
An announcement was made on the radio too
Very romantic...
He wasn't allowed to see the Dress though
And left ahead of her
The wedding hair preparations were a scream
With lots of laughter and malarkey
Dad looked great in his white and silver waistcoat
The Bride looked like Audrey Hepburn
And Mum had something completely different
With everybody happy
I left to take a break in the park
I shared my nuts with a squirrel
He had a very good breakfast!
Then off to Primrose Hill to do a regular client
Then up to Hampstead for the hair tea party again
When I got got home I didn't have to unpack much
Because I have another wedding to do tomorrow
But not so early in the morning...
Just had the time to watch a movie
Then off to bed
:)

Big Day tomorrow

Hello
My internet connection went down last night
So I was a bit put out
But I managed to get my email on my pocket PC
So I survived it quite well
I had a productive day today
I have a wedding to do tomorrow
Starting at 7am!
Have to wake up at 4.30am
A terrible thought...
I have to pray to God to get me up at that time
I have two hair ups to do
Followed by four regular clients
Tea party included...
Best Wishes
Bryn
